Beyond the Bumps – Antenatal Classes
Supporting your journey through pregnancy and birth
Our antenatal classes are run by experienced Midwife Dionne Thompson who will provide you with evidence based information and support on birthing, feeding and caring for your new born baby once they have arrived.
The antenatal course runs over 3 weeks and each class will last for 2 hrs.
The classes are held Monday evenings from 19:30pm – 21:30pm in the barn at Hitchin Lavender Farm.

Woolly Chic – Crochet
Friday 1st July 2022, 6.30pm – 9pm – Summer Craft Party
It’s Woolly Chic’s 10th Anniversary this year! Helen is hosting a Summer Craft Party at Hitchin Lavender to celebrate. Bring along your knitting, crochet, embroidery, or even needle felting and enjoy an evening of crafting with friends in the relaxing setting of Hitchin Lavender’s beautiful 17th Century Barn. Your Summer Craft Party ticket includes a choice of drink (alcoholic or non-alcoholic), a cheese platter and sweet treats. Helen Ingram of Woolly Chic will be available to answer any crochet or knitting related questions and there will be an opportunity to see some of her latest designs and even buy some yarn!
Friday 16th September 2022, 12.30pm – 3.30pm – Afternoon Tea and Craft
Bring along your knitting, crochet, embroidery, or even needle felting and enjoy an afternoon of crafting with friends in the relaxing setting of our 17th Century Barn. Your Afternoon Tea and Craft ticket includes a choice of teas and delicious sandwiches, scones and cakes. John Harrigan – Meditation
John Harrigan has been based at Hitchin Lavender for over five years now, where he facilitates and teaches classes in meditation, creative writing and wellness. John’s classes and workshops make the most of the beautiful landscape at Hitchin Lavender and his most popular workshop is the Full Moon Meditation Workshop, which utilises the power of the Full Moon to empower and initiate powerful change.
John’s classes aim to offer you a space to explore and relax, de-stress and embrace positivity. If you’re interested in creativity or meditation then John’s classes and workshops are for you.
Full Moon Meditation – Selected dates throughout June – October
Experience a unique and powerful Full Moon meditation workshop in the spectacular landscape at Hitchin Lavender. Clear and prepare your mind, will and intent for the year ahead, with an energising workshop on the full moon. Exploring how the full moon can be utilised to initiate powerful change. You will hear stories and myths under the light of the Full Moon, as you work with John Harrigan.
Meditation Workshops – Saturday mornings 9am – 10am
Outdoor meditation workshops in the tranquil and beautiful setting of Hitchin Lavender. In these workshops you will be taught how to meditate and aid you to relax, embrace positivity and reduce stress.
In each meditation workshop you will explore various visualisations, meditations and exercises that will help you to effectively control stress and anxiety and reduce anger and fear through meditation. You will learn how to sustain your meditation practice. Aiding you to refocus for the weeks and months ahead. Each workshop is experiential and based on the needs of the group.
The Meditation Workshops at Hitchin Lavender are suitable for all levels of experience.

Luna Dance – Toddlers Tales & Move
Lively storytelling, dancing and treasure hunting for pre-schoolers and their parents/carers at Hitchin Lavender.
Toddler Tales & Move deliver sessions that provide valuable activities that aim to compliment the EYFS to develop physical development, communication and language, literacy and social and emotional development in pre-schoolers in covid-safe environments.
Lucy is a local mum of 3 who trained at the Italia Continue Academy of Theatre Arts in Dance and Drama. Since graduating she has worked as an actress, producer, choreographer and teacher. She has a passion for working with children and currently teaches at Ickle Drama, amongst other work.

Tuuli Parker – Jewellery Workshops
Tuuli is a qualified teacher with over 20 years’ experience and has been teaching glass workshops for 10 years. Her work is inspired by natural forms, mainly flowers, foliage, and the seaside.
All materials are provided, no experience needed. After the workshop the glass will be fused in a kiln and can either be collected or posted within two weeks. Tuuli will explain how this will work on the day of the workshop but if you have any questions, please feel free to contact her via the details below.
Glass Fusing Workshops – Dates TBC
In this workshop, you will be taught the basics of working with glass with demonstrations and tips for successful glass fusing techniques. You will be taught how to score and break glass safely, and how to work with a variety of inclusions. You will be making pendants and hanging glass ornaments.
Silver Clay Jewellery Workshop – Dates TBC
In this workshop you will be taught the basics of working with silver clay with demonstrations and tips for successful jewellery making. You will be taught how to roll, texture, cut, fire and finish a minimum of one silver pendant which will be ready to take home at the end of the workshop.
